Aloo tikki

Posted On October 21, 2024

Aloo tikki is a great Indian snack that is very flavorful. My best friend makes this and it’s one of my preferred tea-time snack when I am at her place. It’s also a great dish to serve as a starter.

Ingredients:

  • 4 potatoes, boiled and mashed.
  • A handful of coriander, finely.
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped.
  • Salt.
  • Black pepper.
  • 2 tbsp cornflour.
  • Yogurt, whisked for topping.
  • Tamarind chutney, for topping.
  • 1 onion, chopped.
  • Green chutney (mix of coriander and mint)
  • Red chilli chutney.
  • a handful of sev (Small pieces of crunchy noodles made with chic pea flour paste)

Instructions:

  • Mix potatoes, salt, pepper, lemon juice, corn flour, chillies, coriander and Make flat round balls.
  • Leave in the fridge for 10 minutes and shallow fry.
  • Put 2 in a plate and top up with a tbsp each of whisked yogurt and tamarind chutney, a tsp of green chutney and red chilli chutney, onions, coriander and serve.

Let me know when you try it! ✌🏼
