Can we talk about how moms are being judged left, right, and center for just being moms? It’s disheartening how, no matter the path we choose, criticism follows. If you’re a high-performing mom focused on pursuing your dreams, they say it’s sad that you have to work, and daycare is raising your child. If you’re a stay-at-home mom, they say you just gave up on your career because you’re a mom. If you spend most of your time caring for the home, they say you need to get out more, that you’ve become dull. If you embrace your individuality and pursue things that fuel your soul, like travel, they say you’re so full of yourself, neglecting your kids.
Being a mom is tough. People always watch and judge, expecting things from you. It’s an everyday struggle. They criticize what you wear, question your job choices, and sometimes assume the dad is babysitting when he’s just parenting. My life goal is to change this. I want a world where moms are celebrated for who they are and how strong they can be. I want to shout this out to every mom out there. If you feel me on this, I need your help in achieving this goal.
